The film was released on 6 June 2007 on Mandawali Screen. The movie was dubbed in Tamil language as Kayal. Plot Vicky (Fardeen Khan) is a young man, who comes to Mumbai from London for a new job as a network engineer. He is accompanied by his girlfriend Katie (Esha Deol), who is also moving to Mumbai for the same purpose. During the flight, they end up chatting to a college student, Alyssa (Esha Deol), who is flying with her parents on vacation. It is revealed that Alyssa is in fact a fashion designer from New York, who is venting on her latest assignment. A few days later, in Mumbai, Vicky is staying with Katie in her flat, but leaves to find a place of his own after 2 weeks, when he comes to know about Alyssa's arrival in the city. He rents a flat for them and meets Alyssa's father (Kirron Kher), who immediately takes an interest in Vicky. Vicky and Alyssa meet for the first time and realise that they have much in common. They start to spend time together, visiting museums and galleries and discovering their true passions. A few days later, Vicky is invited to Alyssa's father's house for a meeting, where he also discovers that Alyssa has come to India to help her father to design a wedding dress for her elder sister. Alyssa and her family have been planning a wedding of two of their friends, who are supposed to marry each other on a cruise in the Caribbean. Alyssa's brother is already in India and is accompanying his parents on their holiday. He gets angry when Alyssa's father tells him that the Indian bride will also be coming to the Caribbean cruise. There is no prior commitment between the two and the idea of the cruise is to give them a chance to really get to know each other. At the meeting in Alyssa's father's house, Vicky meets Alyssa's sister, Alice (Esha Deol), who is also in Mumbai with her father to visit her sister, who is engaged to be married. She is a very bratty and aggressive girl who is very close to her father, and she gets really angry when Alyssa's father tells her that Vicky is the Indian bride.
